Equipment Operator with CDL Class A Position Available:

We are looking for an Equipment Operator with CDL Class A Driver’s License experienced running wheeled and track equipment (Loader & Excavator/hoe equipment) as well as Dump Trucks. The Equipment Operator will be working with Pipe Crews on infrastructure projects including Storm Sewer, Water / Wastewater and is responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment.

The Equipment Operator must also perform daily safety checks and maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels and adding correct fluids as necessary.

Responsibilities:

- Hauls equipment and material to destination

- Responsible to unload equipment and dump content/material as instructed

- Maintains truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water and all fluids

- Performs pre- and post-trip inspection and keep proper documentation

- Inspection of loaded material or equipment to ensure it is secure

- Reviews shipping documents and verifies information

- Maintain driver log

- Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment in tight spaces and around people and other trades.

- Follow all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and all company policies and procedures while operating equipment

- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of assigned equipment. Clean, lubricate and refill correct fluids as necessary

- Effectively work with ground personnel in excavation and installation process of laying pipe on line and grade and efficiently load dumpsters

- Ensure trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade

- Responsible for placement of water, storm and sanitary sewer pipe in excavation

- Follow directions of ground crew regarding craning, gravel placement and grading

- Work with high efficiency to ensure production is on schedule

- Conduct trench work meeting OH&S requirements

- Report to foreman

- Perform any other duties as requested

Job Requirements:

- At least 1 year verifiable experience preferably in and around infrastructure projects including Storm Sewer, Water / Wastewater.

- Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation from and to work

- Must pass a drug test

- Must have in-depth knowledge of safety requirements and guidelines and practice safety first attitude

- Must be willing to work weekends and/or nights when necessary

- Team player with professional and courteous attitude to supervisors, co-workers and the general public

- Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems

- Good physical condition; must be able to work in heat for 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs

- Bilingual a plus

Underground Utility Foreman Position Available:

We are looking for a competent Underground Utility Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee crew at construction site. As the point of contact for clients, supervisors and workers you will be a key person for the completion of the project.

You will have to demonstrate a solid background in the field and in this industry.

With your extensive knowledge, superior leadership and communication skills you will be able to direct the work of your crews, multi-task and make quick decisions while staying well-organized and favor the safety above everything else.

Responsibilities:

-Report to Superintend on progress etc.

-Ability to read drawing, blueprints and plans

-Outstanding leadership and communication skills, Team player

-Ability to stay organized, multi-task and report effectively

Pipe Layer Position Available:

We are looking for a high motivated individual with a strong work ethic to fill our open Pipe Layer position (deep gravity sewer experience preferred).

Pipe Layer will be working on infrastructure projects including Storm Sewer, Water / Wastewater. Proficient in grade trenches or culverts, position pipe, or seal joints.

Responsibilities:

-Report to foreman

-Dig trenches to desired or required depths (hand or trenching tools)

-Grade and level trenches

-Skilled in using lasers, grade rods, and transit levels

-Ability to operate Pickup Trucks, rollers, various compaction equipment

-Knowledge in locating existing pipes

-Ability to read blueprints and plans and follow written instructions to lay out pipe routes

-Cut pipes, align and position to prepare for connecting pipes and seal joints

- Knowledge with cement and glue

-Cover pipes with earth or other material as instructed

-Follow safety guidelines

-Train and supervise skilled labor

BU Underground is looking for a highly motivated, hardworking individual to join our team.

Laborer will assist pipe layers and be working on infrastructure projects including Storm Sewer, Water / Wastewater.

Responsibilities:

-Ability to follow instructions

-Understanding of basic construction principles

-Performs construction site set up and clean up

-Ability to dig pits, trenches and/or indentations manually or mechanically

-Carry and load materials to be used on job

-Operate small hand tools

-Provide ground support for backhoe and drill operators

-Ability to safely identify utilities in the trench

-Light repair and maintenance of tools and equipment

-Keep equipment and vehicles clean and organized

-Drive Pickup Truck and other vehicles to and from job site

-Other duties as assigned
